Extravaganza #2

Wow, what a day we had on Saturday at our second Extravaganza, a whole day of crafting, chatting, laughing and having fun.  Jane and myself were at the hall bright and early getting everything organised for the day.

Just a couple of the things that we made for our guests:

Our morning project was a One Sheet Wonder with a box to put all 12 cards in!

If you click on the picture you can take a closer peek at each card.  We used the "Serene Snowflakes" stamp set to create our One Sheet Wonder in Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Soft Suede, a really gorgeous combination teamed with crisp Whisper White.  This set is perfect for creating a background design, the snowflakes are so intricate and stamp lovely.

Our quiet empty room was soon full of ladies happily crafting away and the time flew by so quickly it was lunch time before we knew it!

I will be back tomorrow with some more pictures!  Thanks for stopping by.

Final Layout for November's Class

Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been very busy preparing for our Extravaganza which is tomorrow.  Jane and I have been busy cutting and sorting for the last couple of weeks ready for the big day and we are both looking forward to it, hope those of you coming are too!

Back to my Scrapbooking Class, the final layout as promised:

The patterned papers are from the 12x12 Designer Paper Stack in the subtles collection which is gorgeous.  We created our 3D flower using the Scallop Circle and Boho Blossoms punches adding a Clear Rhinestone brad to the centre.  We also added some of the delicious Designer Buttons for extra texture to our page.  It is difficult to see from the photograph but we used the Colour Spritzer Tool to create a soft subtle background with the Rose Red Marker Pen.

Well I have to be off now, still have a few finishing touches to prepare for tomorrow, back soon with pictures of our day!

Second Layout at Scrapbooking Class

The second layout of the night was one that I had seen at Convention on one of the samples boards and was immediately drawn to it so decided to case it for the class.  The pictures are some that I took at Convention of Myself, Jane and Caroline, wow what a fab time we had!

The colour combo is Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White which I adore.  The stamp set used was "Just Believe" which is available in Wood or Clear Mount, and I have to say I have been using it a lot lately as I love it!!!!  We also used "Heard from the Heart" stamps to create the title at the bottom right of the layout which was stamped onto Early Espresso card using the Kraft White ink pad.  The spotty panel is the DSP from the subtles stack, a fabulous pad of 12x12" paper in a whole colour family which includes a whopping 40 sheets of double sided papers, great value at only £15.50.

We used the Eyelet Border Punch to create our decorative strips and the Heart to Heart Punch to create the Baja Breeze heart on the bottom right corner.  We tied linen thread in a bow through one of the new Designer Buttons.

New Scrapbooking Classes

Last night I held my Scrapbooking Class at Whitminster Village Hall, during the evening we created three layouts, yes a challenge I know but we just about got there in the end didn't we ladies!!

So here is the first layout, I took inspiration from the IB&C for this one, quite sweet and simple, not too busy:

We used "Season of Joy" and "Heard from the Heart" stamps and our colour combo was Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  We daubed around the whole edge of the Crumb Cake base with Early Espresso and stamped Poinsettias in Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White cardstock hand cutting them and adding Silver Brads to the centres.  The ribbon we used is the 1/4" Grosgrain in matching Early Espresso which we ruched {{spelling}} onto a strip of sticky strip.  The punches we used were the Scallop Border and the Curly Label punch which reveals a hidden journalling tab created from a gutted piece of Crumb Cake from behind the Old Olive layer, waste not want not!!

My next Scrapbooking Class will be held on Tuesday 4th January 2011, if you would like to come along just give me a call to book your place, spaces will be limited at this class.

Convention Swaps

At Convention we do lots of swapping and here is my general card swap.  I used the stamp set "Growing Green" for the main image and the background was created using the "Sanded" stamp which I have been using a lot recently!  The greeting is from a Hostess set called Occasional Quotes.  The three tiny Early Espresso circles to the top right are "confetti" leftovers from the Eyelet Border Punch layer!  My flower was created using the Boho Blossoms Punch finished with a Basic Peral in the centre.

My colour combo is Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Marina Mist and Whisper White.  I used the Spritzer tool to create a subtle background on my main stamped image.

Back from Convention

Wow, what a fantastic weekend we had at Convention, still trying to catch my tail with planning for upcoming classes so I thought I would share a couple of pictures with you for now:

Caroline, Jane and Myself on the stage inside the Marquee at Addington Palace

The queue for Momento Mall proved to be a great chance for swapping and sharing

We had our own Make and Take sessions, lovely kits all packed up for us!  From left to right, Rhoda, Caroline, Nikki, Jane and Catherine.

We had a Prize Patrol too, both Catherine and Rhoda won prizes and had to stand up waving their arms in the air while their prizes were delivered to them!

There were Awards, lots of them!  I achieved 21st place as Demonstrator of the Year in the UK which I am very proud of considering I only signed up a year ago and my wonderful friend Jane Cutting (my Stampin' Up! Mummy) achieved 10th place, wow!  We both got to walk across the stage and were commend by Shelli Gardner.

Amanda Fowler (my Stampin' Up! Grandma) achieved 2nd Place as Demonstrator of the Year and was also awarded with the Heart of Stampin' Up! Award which was so well deserved.

I think that's enough for today, it was such a fabulous weekend and I am already looking forward to Convention 2011 which is being held at Euro Disney, woo hoo!!  I would love to be taking you along with me so if you would like to find out more about joining my team and signing up to be a Demonstator, full or part time or just to earn discounts on your products then give me a call on 07717 068909 or email me at stampinkerry@aol.com.  This really is a great opportunity and now with the Starter Kit being offered at a new lower price there's even more reason to sign up!

All you have to do is:

Share what you love and love what you do, what could be easier!

Time for Convention

Hi Everyone, sorry for the lack of posts, it has been a very busy week for me, three classes and preparing for Convention has taken up every little bit of time leaving me no time for blogging or anything else to mention it!

But the day has finally come, Jane and Caroline will be here shortly and we will be making our way to London for the 2010 Stampin' Up! Convention so I will be back next week to tell you all about it and share some pictures with you.

Have a great weekend all, and happy stamping!
