Beautiful Birthday Blossoms

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, mine was spent Training with my team, gardening and dog walking!  I had a weekend at home for what seemed like months!

Today's creation is one I designed for my Card Class on Friday at Whitminster.

It uses a new stamp set called

"Birthday Blossoms"

I love that the flower co-ordinates with the Pansy Punch

I can't seem to drag myself away from these two colours since they launched with the new 2015 Catalogue, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe.

I used some of the new Thick White Cardstock for the base of my card and I really love how sturdy it is, perfect for a base giving great stability.

Love to Watercolour

I love using my Aqua Painters with our inks, such an effortless way to add colour to an image or just to create a background as I have done here.

Firstly I stamped the flower image using the "Flowering Flourishes" stamp set, inked it with Versamark ink then stamped onto my watercolour paper.  I then dipped it into White Embossing Powder and Heat Embossed.

Next I watercoloured over the top of my image, firstly in Mint Macaron then followed by So Saffron and I love the result.

I was inspired by a card from Krista Frattin, a Demonstrator in the US.

I used Basic Grey cardstock for my base, then a layer of Smoky Slate behind my Watercolour Paper.

I can't tell you have much in love I am with the In Colour Lace Trim, it's so pretty, I seem to be finding so many uses for it!

I am back, just busy busy!

My feet haven't really hit the floor since I returned back from Madeira late on Monday evening, I have been preparing for a class on Friday and Team Training on Saturday and tomorrow I will be travelling to Fareham for a long day of training so I'm thinking it will all hit me on Saturday night when I get a chance to sit down!

Jason has gone off to Spa in Belgium where he is racing his car so I'm planning on some early nights to try and catch up with myself!

Hopefully over the weekend I will get the opportunity to post some more pictures from Madeira.

I designed today's card with a masculine theme in mind and I like how it turned out.

My colour combo is:

Basic Gray
Smoky Slate
Tip Top Taupe
Mint Macaron

I've used the gorgeous RMHC stamp set called

"Sprinkles of Life" for the tree image

I love how this set is just so versatile and how the Tree Builder Punch co-ordinates with it to make crafting so much easier.  The punch also cuts out the cute little birdie too!

I used a technique to create my "diamond" background

I inked up one side of my "Boho Chic" embossing folder with Mint Macaron Ink

Next I placed my piece of very vanilla very carefully inside and closed up the embossing folder, then took a bone folder and applied pressure to the top of the folder to press the ink onto the paper

Lovely don't you think, and great to get another use out of your Embossing folders too!

Now I've used another new punch on this card, can you spot which one it is???

Leave me a comment and I will pick a name out and send that person a little gift!

Don't forget to check out the latest

Loving this week's Weekly Deals!

If you'd like to grab a great deal then just stop by my Online Shop at www.stampinspiration.stampinup.net to place your order, or if you're local, just get in touch and I will add anything you'd like to my next order!

New deals will change on Wednesday so you still have time.

I love Swapping!

At Stampin' Up! Events we always participate in swapping and the Incentive Trip is no exception.

This time we made 54 swaps, and here is one of my designs as I changed my mind part way through and used a different design!

I used a whisper white base, then Tip Top Taupe as my next layer.  On the White layer I stamped an image from the "You're so Sweet" stamp set in mint macaron, then stamped the "Just For You" banner and layered it over the wording I'd previously stamped leaving the bracket part revealed above and below my banner.

I punched mint macaron flowers and stuck Rhinestones in the centres then stuck them across the top of the gorgeous new Lace Trim, again in mint macaron.

I punched a petite petal flower and adhered a new In Colour embellishment in the centre, love, love, love!!

I will be heading back home this afternoon and on my return I will be eager to look through the box of swaps I received in return.

Special Gift

Whenever we go on an Incentive trip, there's always a special gift from Amanda!

The day we arrived in Madeira Amanda presented me with this gorgeous little Beach Bag, it's just so cute, I love it!

And it even has my Initial on it, so special!

We are now off out on a Buggy Tour, pictures to follow!

I will leave you with some pictures from our sightseeing day yesterday and will be back later!

Lovely day sightseeing!

Yesterday we had the most amazing day out sightseeing.  We took a bus up the mountain to a cable car, which then took us higher to view the Tropical Gardens.

The gardens were full of beautiful things to see and I took way too many pictures but I have lots of plans to create some project life pages with my photos.

We had fantastic company, stopped for lunch and also took a trip part way back down the mountain in a toboggan which was quite an experience.

Most of my photos were taken on my camera so I will share them on my return.

We ended up walking all the way back to the hotel which was 6 kilometres and although most of it was downhill my feet were on fire by the time we were back!

Just love ...........

can't stop using it!!!

Yes it's making yet another appearance

the "You're so Sweet" set is just so loveable {spelling??}

I am playing with other stamps apart from this and inking them with colours other than Mint Macaron, honestly!

I've used the new Banner Punch for the Pink Pirouette piece at the top

Again, the Mini Treat Bag dies co-ordinate with this set and there's a die to cut out the "just for you" banner.

First Day in Madeira

So we're here!  Spent our first evening out with Amanda and Brian, had dinner at a lovely Restaurant which we'd all like to go back to, then finished our evening at a little coffee house we found when on a walk earlier in the evening.

Today we woke to beautiful sunshine, sat outside for breakfast then headed down to the pool side for a relaxing day!

I will be back with more pictures to share shortly, happy stamping everyone!

Off to Madeira

Today Jay and I are travelling to Madeira for the Incentive Trip that I earnt last year.

I can't thank my lovely customers and team members enough for their help on my journey to earn 4 trips in the 5 1/2 years I have been a Demonstrator.

Of course I have to work hard too, but I have to say that I am thankful that I found Stampin' Up! and that I love my job and the best of all is that I have been able to meet so many lovely, talented, creative people along my journey so far.

I am looking forward to meeting up with some of my demonstrator friends on this trip, we do have an amazing adventure every year and it is also lovely to spend time with the Corporate Team from Stampin' Up! where you really are made to feel valued and appreciated.

So here's a little throwback to the Western Caribbean Cruise we were lucky enough to go on last year.  We really did have a lot of fun and I am glad to call these lovely people my friends, all of whom I'd never have met if it weren't for Stampin' Up!

and I hope to be sharing some photos from our latest adventure in Madeira very soon.

I couldn't leave without sharing another card with you today, inspired by one I saw on Pinterest

I know I say it a lot, but I really do love Stampin' Up!, the colours, the quality, the images, and this stamp set is no exception

Sprinkles of Life is a fabulous set and £2.00 from every purchase is donated by Stampin' Up! to our local Ronald Macdonald House Charities.

It's also great that we have a matching punch called the "Tree Builder" to make things easier for us.

I've created a Cupcake and you can see that the "frosting" image doubles up as a cloud, making it really versatile.

The "Happy Birthday" greeting stamp is from the same set, there are several other greetings too.

I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamps to add some interest to the background and die cut a frame using the Deco Labels framelits dies.

The flowers were punched using the Petite Petals punch centred with an adhesive Pearl embellishment

Hope to see you back very soon!
